We all had a
lie in this morning apart from me, Ellen and Mr Burton, who attended our regular
little book club in the morning before breakfast. Just after ten we left for
the market where we all had a go a bartering for a cheaper price for souvenirs
and crafts. I ended up with a pair of elephant trousers and some bracelets
before calling my days of bartering to a close - my skills are not amazing. Around
midday most of us went into the pool to cool off from the day and for fun
before everyone disappeared to their rooms to get ready for dinner and to have
a reset. The restaurant was a few minutes down the block and they served
crocodile and friend caterpillars, even though I’m pescatarian I ended up
trying the crocodile because it’s a once in a life time opportunity and it surprisingly
tasted good. It was a mix between chicken and fish. We ended the day back at Fawlty
Towers with me. Ellen, Leila and Mr burton having our usual games night.
P.S. I can’t
wait to see you mum , dad and I guess Ben. See you in four nights… love you
lots xxx Bea
FOOTBALLS
COME HOME!!!
To begin with
we sat at the hotel bar for the first half in which Mariona Caldente scored the
first goal of the game and it looked like a repeat of the World Cup Final. We were then ushered into the restaurant where
Mr Burton joined us at the bar to watch the rest of the game. We were treated
like royalty, our food laid out in front of us and the TV perfectly placed. The
intensity increased as Chloe Kelly’s cross was headed in by Alessia Russo. Once
extra time had proceeded we sat nervously praying penalties wouldn’t go ahead.
They did. The first penalty was a relief until the referee decided a retake was
needed. It was saved. To follow the Spanish scored however the next set of penalties
evened it up. By the time we got to penalty number 5, England were leading 2-1. If we scored the next
one it was all over for the Spanish. And we did it. European champions twice in
a row. After screaming celebrations, Mr burton let Ellen and I sprint back to
the hotel to watch the trophy being lifted. What a moment...
PS. Sending
love to my family and excited to see you soon. Xx Lucy
PS. Love you
all. Looking forward to seeing you all. Xxx Ellen
